Dolce & Gabbana's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection Review

I rather like this collection. It fades from serious classic bling in the form of gold on black to tropical prints with black lining keeping it winter-y.

(Apologies for the bad quality..and the fact I haven't posted for a while)

The first photo is one of the only pieces in the collection with white I it, although a cold color, it isn't used to much. The flowers contradict the season but it still feels frosty, the lace often means femininity but in this case shows a beautiful contradiction of lace meaning cold.

The second picture's outfit features on this months cover of ELLE UK, sported by Rosie Huntington-Whitley. This picture gives the piece no justice, as Rosie wears it well. It hugs all the correct Curves whilst maintaining a thin frame (hallelujah for black). It reminds me of Holland and Laderhosen...but in a good way. The floral pattern links to the previous piece but allows creativity and leeway only Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabanna possess.

The third piece is velvet (oh how I love velvet) with a gold collar, which we all know is very 'in' right now. Except this is maxi bling. I see this outfit and think 'sophisticated cat in crystals'. Because the velvet reminds me of a black cat's shiny coat and the gold is a reflection of the beautiful handiwork performed by Swarovski (not on the dress). The black sports a sexy thin figure and the belt synchs in the waist, again eccentuating a small diameter. If only I could own it!

How beautiful? D&G never dissapoint, if that's one thing I've learnt. Take a look at the rest of the collection at http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/autumn-winter-2012/ready-to-wear/dolce-and-gabbana/full-length-photos/page/1

What I Wore @ Nicki Minaj

Well, I attended a Katy Perry concert a few Sunday's ago. Maybe 3? Not sure. Anyway, I really love these leggings, so I thought Id post pictures of me in them and my friends.

Firstly, my beloved Versace leggings. (From H&M) The flowery pattern draws your attention straight to them. The pattern also encompasses the chain link pattern which Versace has recently been so fond of, except in flower form. Flower power! I rolled them up to make them slightly casual? I had the whole 7/8 length jeans OR sailor trousers in mind. The blue and green react perfectly to the fuchsia. If you can't see these leggings from miles away, you're obviously blind.

My Barbie t-shirt is DIY. My mum bought an iron on logo and she just ironed it on. It's from eBay NGL. I didn't want to detract attention from the leggings so...yep.

My shoes are also DIY. I bought flatforms from Office, bought a stuffing and studs from eBay and put them on. I must say I'm so proud of them and it's safe to say the spikes helped me during that concert if you know what I mean ;).

Lastly, Id like to say, the concert was fucking awesome. If you can see the Minajinator, go see her. Get tickets. Shes fab.

Zara Sandals

Put your Doc Martens and Hunters away because a phenomenon has arrived.

Oh gosh. And Gone. So swiftly.

I've had my eye on these sandals for a while. They're sleek, chic and sexy.

The black oozes seductiveness and the straps accentuate the wearers ankle, which is probably a woman's, and skinny at that.

(Maybe ankles will be the new 'it' body part this summer? Haha, let's all get our ankles out!)

The open toe has a SS '12 feeling which is probably why these £30 stunners sold out in a few weeks.

Someone help me rewind time so I can buy these!

Decade Obsession

I have sat up to attention at my sudden desire to own 80's and 90's clothing. Although, currently I have no money to buy them with, so I'm settling for window shopping for now.

For example, I was scrolling through www.lookbook.nu recently and I came across a girl wearing a vintage, mink-colored, oversized tee with a pocket on. I'm not describing it well but paired with black and white flatforms and a backwards SnapBack, it was so 80's.

Another example is of the acid wash denim which I fucking adore. I already own a light colored denim jacket from rocket (£25 on sale) and a denim skirt like Rihanna's in her We Found Love video from Urban Outfitters (£40). But I yearn for 80's/90's cut jeans. The ones I have found are either too big for me, wouldn't suit me, or are £100.

Any suggestions?

I also have an Etsy account which is made for my own era needs. Its perfect for bargains! Although I haven't actually bought anything from there yet.

One more side to 90's clothing I have fallen in love with in the Grunge style. I have House of Holland Suspender Tights but I am desperate for the hold ups from Asos (picture below) for £9. I have a leather jacket from Forever 21 which I got for £27 which is my pride and joy and customized men's Primark tops which are grungy and OH just perfect.

Any more suggestions for sites or blogs or grunge sources or new clothing ranges - tell me immediately!

Katie Eary Appreciation

I recently discovered a new designer which I am highly fond of.

Katie Eary.

She is a menswear designer, yet women have caught on and adorned on her clothes, who is based in London. She graduated from the ROYAL COLLEGE OF ART AND GRADUATED IN 2008. She also makes all of the clothes herself. Using the finest Swarovski crystals, materials and sources.

One of her t-shirts, (top left of the photo from the S/S '13 collection) has been worn by the seductive star Rihanna at one of the recent festivals, Radio 1 in Hackney.

She rocked it with black Jonathan Aston fishnet shorts, Kanye West's Air Jeezy's for footwear, Mercura NYC sunglasses and a House of Lavande necklace. She looked AMAZING.

Katie's SS '13 collection is colorful, crazy and print-tastic. If I had the money, I would DEFINITELY buy it.

I talk too much

On this day, (Saturday), I went to Westfields Stratford City. On this trip I bought some plain men's t-shirts from Primark to gradient die and bleach. (Very excited for this, when it does occur, let me quickly say.)

And I have to say I favor this t-shirt so much. It reflects my personality so well! It was. subliminal message to those who feel they can jabber on at me. Not on that day. Not when I was wearing that t-shirt. Hey, let's face it, not EVER!

Please note, when talking to me, try not to rant as I loose interest. Only a 5/10 for listening skills. It's not rudeness i swear! It's a personality dysfunction - I don't meant it!

In addition, I love these genes, They make me feel androgynous, edgy, strong and surprisingly confident. They give me 'swag'. Am I cool yet?

Lastly, not sure if you can see but I drew all over my converse with my best friend, Lillie. If you see any inappropriate words, apologies.

Gypsy Skirt

This is infant a maxi dress from Topshop bought a few years back. However, I have since grown taller and it was short on me - it was atrocious - so I folded it inwards and VOILA, the skirt was born.

Honestly, I wasn't actually going anywhere on this day, it was a dress up session.

But I like this look, very hippy for me. Boho is new for me so I added a touch of me with the cross necklace.
